THE PROJECT:
To create a short video to be played on the Flying School's web site to demonstrate what you can expect from a trial lesson in a Helicopter. It was also to be produced for distribution on mini DVD for people enquiring about such lessons. This was designed to be a fairly light hearted look at a first flight - as everyone's reaction on the day is different!
THE METHOD:
Initial discussions with client followed by rough scripting for shoot. Final decisions on content made on the day.

THE SHOOT:
Using two helicopters, one two seat R22 and a four seat R44 trainer, we first shot the over the shoulder' footage in the four seater, followed by air to air shots of the two seater repeating the trip around the local area. A sports camera was mounted in the two seater for internal shots of the pilot and student during the flight. This was followed by ground shooting of the fight booking, office and exterior shots.

The aim - to demonstrate that an initial or trial lesson is a practical and enjoyable experience. It can actually count towards your total flying time if you decide to book further lessons with an aim to getting your PPL(H)
